When you become a River Street Sweets franchise, you will pay an initial franchise fee of $40,000*. This does not include the costs of acquiring a retail location. Franchisees will pay 5 percent of gross sales for the preceding week, a monthly technology fee of $250*, and up to 2 percent* of gross sales from the previous week for marketing. These fees help River Street Sweets provide our franchise owners with ongoing support and training, system improvements, and the creation of new products and services. The beginning of your training starts with online sessions conducted by our trainer, Rebecca Anderson. Rebecca’s online sessions go into detail about the history of the company, the basic processes of RSS•SCK’s candy creation, as well as store operations and procedures. The sessions also include the fundamentals of running a candy store franchise and job training in all areas and store stations. “It’s important for a candy store franchise owner to understand every aspect of the business.” says Anderson.
Of course, no training is complete without an assessment of what has been learned. After each segment of the online sessions, franchisees take a short quiz to test them on what they’ve absorbed. The next step in the training and support process is for some in person, hands-on training at either our headquarters, or in one of our existing stores.
