What will I receive as part of the River Street Sweets•Savannah’s Candy Kitchen franchise system?
We will provide extensive classroom and hands-on training on operations and management in our flagship store in Savannah; this initial training will cover our concept, program, policies, and procedures and is available for up to two people, including you (or your operating principal), and the initial manager of your store. In connection with the opening of your store, we will also provide initial on-site assistance and training for a minimum of seven days. We’ll also present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your candy business properly on a day-to-day basis.
What type of prior experience do I need to have?
If you are a positive, hard working person who likes to have fun and work with guests, you can be like a kid in your own candy store every day! From ice cream to toffee to salt water taffy, you’ve always respected someone with a sweet tooth. You do not need to have prior experience in the candy making industry prior to joining our program. Regardless of your background or experience, we’ll provide the training and tools you need for starting a candy business.
How much will the River Street Sweets•Savannah’s Candy Kitchen franchise investment cost me?
The projected initial investment range for a single start-up candy store location is between $419,550 and $844,000; this investment amount includes an initial franchise fee of $40,000 (this fee can be discounted for qualified military veterans). As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.
Are there other ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will be required to pay royalties at a rate of 5% of gross sales for the preceding week. Franchisees will also pay a monthly technology fee of $300. These royalties and fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of services and product selections, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades.
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will also contribute a system marketing fee of up to 2% of gross sales for the preceding week. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the River Street Sweets•Savannah’s Candy Kitchen brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.
How long will it take to get my store opened?
We anticipate it will take between three and nine months for a store to be fully operational.

The initial term of your franchise agreement is ten years, with three successor term options of five years each.
